Saxon Homestead Farm LLC is a fifth generation family partnership operated by Robert and Kathleen Block-Klessig, Karl and Elizabeth Klessig, Gerald and Elise Klessig Heimerl, and their families. They have combined rotational grazing, dairy cattle, dairy steers, and seasonal calving to form the foundation of their farming operation. They have been dedicated to creating a high quality milk product from happy cows. They strive for efficient and profitable production, animal comfort, land, water, and environmental stewardship, and family and employee well-being.

Saxon Homestead Farm LLC was homesteaded in 1850, and the current operators represent the fifth generation of farmers at Saxon Homestead. In 1980, a partnership was formed between Karl Klessig and Jerry and Elise Klessig Heimerl and Karl and Elise Klessig's parents, Edward and Margaret. In 1989, Robert Klessig joined the growing business. The fifth generation partners expanded the confinement farming operation to 150 cows and farmed conventionally through 1990. Since 1991, the farming operation has transitioned from conventional dairying to management intensive rotational grazing and spring seasonal calving.
