Are you interested in monitoring Nitrogen Use Efficiency (NUE) on your own fields? UW Discovery Farms has created a guide that will lead you through the process of conducting your own NUE study.  Calculating NUE can be relatively simple and offers insight into how N management can be altered in order to achieve economically optimum yields while reducing nutrient losses to the environment.

In the guide you will find 1) Things to consider when selecting NUE fields 2) How to set up a zero-N plot 3) Soil sampling requirements and recommendations 4) Best management practices for calibrating your yield monitor and 5) Data collection and analysis responsibilities.

View and print the guide on the UW Discovery Farms website here: https://bit.ly/2V4s8Yk

If you are interested in being a part of the project and would like to receive information throughout the growing season and a personalized NUE report with your numbers at the end of the season, please fill out this form: https://forms.gle/jugQKUWL8od5VqsN6
