The two main components of the Discovery Farms Program are research and education. Through publications, presentations, trainings and other articles, we work with producers on nutrient management, proper decisions regarding manure and land management. We also work with agency personnel, community members, and other interested parties regarding the positive aspects farming can have on our natural resources and how rules and regulations can protect both agriculture and the environment on the rural landscape of Wisconsin.
