The unique impacts of UW Discovery Farms have inspired other states to create similar programs. Farmers and government, university, industry and agency representatives from Arkansas, Minnesota and North Dakota have visited Wisconsin to learn lessons from DF producers and directors. Leaders from these states agree that Discovery Farms offers many benefits - from producer-driven roots and practical, on-farm results to transparency and popularity with policy makers.
